Optional customer interest tracking

Scott Radio offers optional tracking to understand which pages, radios and parts interest visitors. Tracking starts only when you choose “Allow interest tracking.” You can browse and shop without allowing it.

What we save

With your permission, we save the page path, page or product title, product ID when applicable, and time of the visit. A random first-party browser identifier connects visits. If you later sign in or place an order using the same consenting browser, we can link its recent history to your existing account or order contact details.

This feature does not discover anonymous visitors’ names or email addresses. It does not save IP addresses, query strings, form contents, passwords, payment details or browser fingerprints. Account, cart, checkout, contact, seller-management and submission pages are excluded. No outside identity database or CRM receives this feature’s records.

Your choices

Use “Privacy preferences” at the bottom of the screen to decline tracking or erase the history associated with the current browser identifier. A browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting disables this optional tracking. You may need to set your preference separately on other browsers or devices.

Retention and contact

Consent and identifier cookies last up to 90 days. A daily task removes interest records older than 90 days; backup copies expire under the site’s normal backup retention schedule. These records do not enroll you in promotional email or SMS. For account-linked data requests, contact jack@scottradioelectronics.com.
